The length of time that it takes to complete a rewiring job will largely depend on several factors. For instance, a five-bedroom home would take longer to complete than a one-bedroom property.
You should also consider that the work may take slightly longer if the home is occupied. This is another reason to think about staying somewhere else while the work takes place if that is possible.
The duration of the work may also be extended if you are having additions or alterations made rather than a simple replacement of existing wires.
For a standard three-bedroom property, you might expect a typical rewiring to take in the region of three days. However, these projects can take up to fifteen days on the more extreme end of the scale. For example, a five-bedroom property with multiple additions where the homeowners remained in the property may take substantially longer.
